Kevin has a BA (1983, High Distinction and Faculty Scholar) and JD (1986) from University of Toronto and an MBA (1997, Fuqua Scholar) from Duke University in North Carolina. He is a member of the bars of British Columbia (called in 2002) and Ontario (called in 1988).
Kevin practiced corporate and securities law for over seven years with a highly-regarded transactional business law firm located in Toronto’s financial district, starting as an associate and finishing as a partner when he began business studies focused on finance and strategy.
Since his MBA, Kevin has held corporate development executive positions with two publicly-listed Canadian companies in the leisure and travel industry where he concentrated on acquisitions and dispositions. Kevin subsequently was General Counsel for a retail brokerage firm, where he led a compliance team, developed policies & procedures, negotiated and drafted contracts, oversaw dispute resolution and advised on mergers and alliances. Periodically during his career, Kevin has engaged in independent consulting and other small business ventures. In addition, he has volunteered as President of Duke Clubs of British Columbia and of Vancouver Kayak Club and as a Director for Mulgrave School in West Vancouver.
In May 2018, Kevin resumed private legal practice with Digby Leigh & Company. His law and business education and varied work experience, as a legal practitioner and as a business person, will enable him to provide our clients with business law advice and services that are grounded by practicality and good judgment.

Kevin has resided the last 17 years in North Vancouver, with its fantastic combination of community, vibrancy and closeness to nature. His leisure passions include mountain biking, whitewater kayaking & canoeing, alpine skiing, hiking, golfing and badminton. He does his best to play the guitar and enjoys Internet chess.
